Man, I never come here much anymore. I've considered my music talents too delicate to display, I guess? Then again, I'm not exploiting my skills, so why bother with that line of reasoning? Paranoia I suppose. Yup. And I'm not even THAT great. Flash is just as bothersome. I won't ever finish anything I start... I'd be better off spending that time playing games or something.
Still, I felt rather wrong for breaking a personal tradition, by not contributing anything for over a year. I decided to join an audio contest. You can listen to it here. As for flash, I never finished anything, as expected. I'm also thinking of picking up a pen and write some stories. Maybe even turn them into comics, but I'm not sure if Newgrounds will ever get to see them.
I might not mention my psychological issues a whole lot, but I've definitely got some problems. What's the point of me starting projects, if I'm not willing to share them with others? I need to get rid of that insecure attitude and exploit myself, for fuck's sake.

I'm working on that Horror Flash of last year again since yesterday. Somehow I think I'm way more inspired to work on it than last year. I feel like I'm pulling it off with a lot more ease now. Partially because I'm really inspired right now, but I also feel like I've gained some more experience when it comes to texture details. And that's really helpful for a flash of this kind.
EDIT: Been slacking again. Dammit.
Music's still going to be last year's stuff plus some new stuff.
Included Songs:
Slippery Road/Opening (1:56 - 2:33)
Parked Car
Investigation
Being Watched (1:42)
Heading Inside (0:22)
Trolley (1:49)
Horrifying Van
Jack In The Box
Hurt
Hero
Panic
Crashsite/Credits

Booyah. I'm on frontpage, first time with a solo project. It's a song, I didn't expect to get frontpage with a song. Good thing I entered a contest and got third prize.
I'm also checking out different music software. Messing around with Reason right now, got the hang of it's basics pretty quickly. I'm planning to submit something to Newgrounds as soon as I get to finishing a song.
Robot project's doing good. Graphics are unlike anything I've made before. Here's a sample of something I made today. Steampunk ftw.

Updating about my robot day project here. It's going to be a steampunk animation. I found out it's a very interesting genre to tread upon. Designing stuff can be a pain in the ass, especially since there's not a lot of steampunk to observe. But by observing movies that play off in old times, and looking for the right stuff on google, you get a lot of awesome ideas for your designs. Bioshock's been a very good source of inspiration aswel.
I like switching approach with most of my animations.
With this project, I started out by picking songs from NG, mixing them into a soundtrack. Then while listening to this soundtrack, I opened MS Paint, and sketched all of the scenes I fantasized about. Eventually I added a storyline to the scenes I had drawn.
So I had some scenes, but I had no designs yet. It was ok, some of the scenes I drew had some pretty cool robot and character designs already. A few adjustments were all I needed.
Interestingly, I've decided to draw my backgrounds in photoshop. I had no idea how this was going to turn out, but luckily it came out real stylish and awesome. Exactly as I imagined it, really!
Fella down here's called D-1337-R. Story's gonna be about hackers.

I may change this, but I'm pretty sure I'll be using this tracklist for my robotflash.
MENU
Preparations
Hacking Fail (?)
Wanted
Government Property
Running For Your Artificial Life
Empty Factory
Hazardous Partying
They Mean Business
Ready to die
Repairing Robots
Now it's time for some research on robots, and after that some designing. I never drew a lot of futuristic things, so I have to learn more about it. I've noticed that it's not all that hard once you try. It's entirely different from drawing people, as you're building up an entire drawing from 3dimensional blocks. It leaves a whole lot of help lines, but I'm getting the hang of it pretty fast.
I'm thinking R66Y is a pretty cool model.
