Today I've been at an open day at NHTV College in Breda, Holland.
One of the things they teach here is Game Design which has 2 directions. A direction for Programmers, which very few people attend to and is really hard. And of course the people who study into the visual aspects of the game, which isnt exactly easy either. Of course there is also audio needed in games, but you'll have to go to a Conservatory to study that seperately.

This day was very educational, inspiring but also very motivating! The schedules were much harder and much more time consuming than I would ever have imagined, many of the students and teachers looked tired. But those tired faces were hidden mostly by their pride and motivation. I felt right at home lol!

Sounds great and all, but this study sadly wont leave any free time. This has to be your hobby, because if it's not, there won't be any time for hobbies. Aproximately 40 houres per week will be spent at school. Your teachers will tell you how the programs work, after that you'll continue studying your own way. At the end of the year you should have completed 2 projects together with other students from a group you´re parted in.

I got really motivated about this all after I heard this study doesn't aquire high schoolmarks. What's most important to this study is your portfolio. You won't get in if you're not tallented, or have few knowledge on the subject.

I'll be sure to study hard, fill up my portfolio with everything Im capable off, and put it online ^-^
There might be a future for me afteral! O:

About 3 things.

1. My flash project.
I was planning on finishing it some months ago. I didnt stop, but I paused. Because I was waiting for the original track image to be given to me by Kingbastard. I guess it got lost, so I will have to make up something new to end the animation with. I bet it will take me quite some time. with all the new ideas Ive come up with, and want to work on aswell.

2. My Laptop
My harddisk crashed just about some time after my guarantee was due. It's been sent to the Acer factory now, I hope Ill get it guaranteed anyway.

3. CTSG Animation
Due to the many inconvenient delays on the project we've had our deadline extended another 2 weeks. That should be enough.

Some of you might have noticed: I am back from my holiday.

I will start off this newsreport about the audio that I had taken with me on my holiday. Unfortunately I made the mistake not to put some of the audio on my iPod. Songs I accidentally didn't take with me were:
Rig - Stardust Crazy
T7online - SexuallyTransmittedIntelligence
I will review my top 3 favourite newgrounds winter audio down here:

1. cornandbeans - The Trip
The best wintersong in my opinion. When I first heard this song I never really thought of Winterlandscapes. But wether youre skiing, traveling or relaxing.. This song keeps you in the wintermood any time of the day.
2. Cycerin - Winterbliss
I was enjoying the thought to rush of the mountains with this song on. Though in reality this song wasn't really good for that. Yet this song keeps an great winterfeel and an amazing burst of energy. I recommend it.
3. Rig - Second To None
Nice song to play when youre in car, viewing the winterlandscape from your window. It's drifting you away to dreamy cold atmospheres, even though it's very energetic. And it makes you want to listen to it again, without leaving too much of a catchy melody in your mind.

So, I lied. I did listen to music while skiing down the mountain =D
Anyway, besides newgrounds audio, this is what I recommend to listen when you're going down the mountain:
The Strokes - The End Has No End.

End Journal, thanks for all of your recommendations <3
Pics coming later O:

Im going on wintersports for a week soon, and Id like some newgrounds audio with me. Now imagine yourself, on your way through the mountains, through the snow. With friends, having a great time..

What newgrounds audio songs would you recommend me to put on my iPod?

List:
CornAndBeans - The Trip
Cycerin - Winterbliss
MilkMan-Dan - The Purest of Winters
NemesisTheory - Ghostwave
Rig - Genesis
Rig - Nebula
Rig - Second to None
Rig - Stardust Crazy
RyeGuyHead - Climate Storm
SBB - Climbing a Snow Mountain
SBB - Frozen Planet
T7online - SexuallyTransmittedInteligence

I prefer ambience or easygoing, but anything with an icy theme is fine. Something with bells would be nice.

Frustrating.
Working on a project when your laptop crashes.
Its no biggy.
Ive lost none of my work, and already did most. But I was supposed to work on better graphics, and there was a little part at the end that I still needed to fill up.

Not only that, but next Friday(22nd of Feb), Ive been surprised. Theres still room to go on wintersports with my causins for a week. Nice of course for me! =D But the project.. heh. Luckely I will still have plenty of time to work on my project once I am back, but first I will have to make sure my computer's gonna work..

So Im gonna work on it you guys =D

Also here´s what I made:

Im planning to revise all backgrounds, and draw them out in a different program. And of course, add an ending to it.

Yes yes! You read it right.
The CTSG has turned into a collab. This idea really has a great future ahead of it! Ive seen other musicians that participated in the CTSG join in the animation aswell, so I couldnt help myself but join in! =D

I've been given the intro to work with. It's kind of tough since there's no beat to hold on to. And so it's hard to make up something. But I've thought of something, and although it looks pretty sweet in my opinion, it just doesn't fit the song. But aw well ^-^;

Screenshot for you bitches, cause youre worth it XD

CTSG the animation! O:

Ever since Ive been lurking Newgrounds again, like I used to in the past-- Before my attention was all drawn to GaiaOnline, which sucks btw-- Ive been on the lookout for audio contests. I knew they were being held, and I really wanted to join in sometime, so yeah!

Well yesterday I was lurking the Audioforums, and wada you know? SolidElectro has come up with something amazing that he called CTSG:
Continue The Song Game.
Someone starts a song within a time of 15 seconds. The next one follows onto that, again with a time of 15 seconds. And so a song forms made by many different artists, moving through many different styles.

I dropped in just in time to fit at the ending. You can check it overhere.

I just joined a new project. I'll update once it's up =D

I seriously dont see why Im getting banned for this.. In an angry mood, I thought Id make a thread about anger, so I could get a laugh out of it. And it gets fucking locked, and I get fucking banned. Not even for making the thread too. But for making a fucking post in it?! O_o

Yes, that made me more angry.. For a while though.
Fucking mods.
3 Day ban, and for what?
