I just didn't expect this to happen since Tom noticed he had made a mistake. He overlooked Yoshio, who recommended Fucking Kids as a Halloween gem before I did. Yet.. I recieved a Newgrounds 2009 Callendar today!! OMG AWESOME! =D

When it comes to animating in flash, my preference is to use a brushtool. The lines you draw with the brushtool become smooth automaticly and the lines connect just fine whereas drawings with the line tool have to be corrected all the time. Deleting or editing your brushdrawing is simple aswel and seldom leaves any leftover lines. You don't accidentally end up deleting your drawing after deleting shadinglines either. I consider it a perfect tool for frame by frame animating and use the penciltool merely to create perspectives or shading. I barely ever used it to actually draw with it.

But right now, I may have to be more openminded about this penciltool. It has crossed my mind a couple of times before, but it is clear to me now that if I want to create more realistic anime, I'll have to draw with it. I came across this very interesting site earlier today. I'm probably way too impatient to create an animation with the pencil tool but I'll practise it a little. It may have some very interesting results.

I realize there are just so many things I need to improve on, besides just drawing techniques.. I need to write a fascinating story. When the story is done it's time to think out the world in detail and make multiple detailed backgrounds that make every corner of each scene in that world seem as if it really exists. I may even need to create models in swift3d. I'd also have to write the story into a script, design all characters and animate them. Everything audio related isn't much of a problem, but the rest of it makes me wonder where to begin. Yes, I want it to be perfect, but I don't have the patience RobsH66 and Adam Philips have. It makes me wish I could work in a team like in real studios. I think maybe I think too big, I need to keep my cool.

Also, I don't appear to be very active these days. I'm here, only watching anime. And I should get myself motivated to finish my animation for the Newgrounds Level Collab. Oh and if you want to, play this game with me, it's awesome.

Update, I just came across this awesome Youtube channel. This guy brought out a manga and has some great tips in his videos if you're going for detail.

I met Wallpaperman in real life!!
We met eachother on NG, known eachother for 4 years. And now we finally met in Amsterdam.
It was an awesome day (:

Oh and in Pot Jam, an animation Calum and me made together last year, I had used a picture of a coffeeshop that I had googled. Guess what? We found that cofeeshop! Been in there and stuff haha, that was so awesome. We just stumbled upon it XD

I kept updating my halloween project. It started to look sort of messy between all my other projects so I decided to whip up a new newspost.

The Newgrounds haloween contest.
Inspired by Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Meaning it will be a disturbing horror anime. Expect paranoia and gore.
WritersBlock is an amazing writer, he was requested to do 2 horror stories. One for Lochie, and one for me. He decided to make it one complete story, the first part in Lochie's style, the second one in mine. He's spent quite some days working on this, unfortunately I would run out of time if I animated every single scene of the story, so I'm editing this into something shorter.
Eddache has been a voiceactor for most of the doctors. The protagonist is done by TomBanks, and he also does the doctor in the last scene.

While WritersBlock was working on the story, I decided doing some research for my movie. First of, I found disturbing pictures of a haunted hospital to inspire myself. And I have specificly been paying attention to horror animations here on Newgrounds. I will experiment with the scenery, expressions and shadingtechniques.
First thing I noticed when I watched horror flashes here on Newgrounds was that these flashes were drawn very detailed and drawn in perfect horrorstyle, yet most of these flashes weren't all as scary as I'm aiming my flash to be. I noticed why too. The soundeffects are dull, and the songs not creepy enough. In my movie, the songs will be picked carefully, and I'll try to get the sound effects to be as realistic as possible.

Here is some of the audio that is sure to be used:
- The Baron Wastelands, this creepy song will be used at the crash site, along with ambience of the scene which I put together myself.
- Tsumeato, this song will be played during the nightmare the protagonist has during the night of his operation.
- Byakku No(Paprika Version), a guy in a wheelchair, riding through a dark corridor in a creepy hospital.
- Where Am I, what the fuck is he doing in this room with me?!
- Genzai, An emotional tune that soon changes into a horrible atmosphere.
- Where?, A murderer awakens. I'll edit this song so it fits the scene better.
- Climbing Up The Walls, the song is dark and slow, yet innocent and powerfull. I'll slice is up a but and it'll be perfect for the credits.

UPDATE
After some weeks of work I have finally finished all of the scenes!
The script has come to differ from WritersBlock's original story pretty much. I changed some scenes and left others out. And while in WritersBlock's story the protagonist goes crazy in anger, in my script he loses his mind and becomes like some posessed monster a la higurashi.

I personally love how the audio towards the ending became EXACTLY to my expectations. My main focus right now is to get the voices sound right with their environments. That's something I kept for last.

2. I entered the newgrounds haloween contest as planned. This flash was much inspired by Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, a disturbing anime. WritersBlock wrote me the story. It got daily fifth, that's the first award I've gotten with a solo animation.

3. Wallpaperman and me both play the awesome first person shooter TF2. We decided to start a collaboration about it. I was going to be animating a part on the characters:
Demoman, Pyro, Medic and engineer. But we decided to keep it short and only animate to Soldier and Demoman. We finished and submitted on Christmas lol. Go watch it.

4. The NG level collab was something I joined in summer 2008. I made a nice start but then got very busy with the CTSG project. After that I've been doing nothing, aka slacking. Collab was progressing slow so what the hell, lol.

5. Night-Mare and me decided to make a game together. I do the graphics. Thisis all we've got so far, it's not a lot. More updates on that coming.

6. Experiment 003, it's a song I made about 3 years ago as an experiment. It is one of my most catchiest songs, and since it loops I thought it deserved an animation. Work in Progress, more updates coming.

7. SoW, Sword of Worldbounds. A story based on a game I made in RPG Maker and decided to write it into a story. That was back in 2003. In 2004 I released the first episode of what was supposed to become an epic flash series. Although confusing, badly drawn and unfinished, it sets a great mood, and still has a lot of potential(if I do say so myself). I plan to create a next episode.

I've got my new computer for about 4 days now. It's awesome, I have a 22 Inch screen, it makes the flash working space so much easier to work with! Not to mention that it's awesome to play TF2 with a screen this big.
