Same thing happened to me too! Same game, same button pushing minigame.
Although I DID cheat and tab the red button and hold enter, it still pissed me off :/
ok to get the medal you have to click the big shiny red button 10000 times then it takes you to a page with another big red button and you have to click the text below that big shiny red button to get the medal if you don't click on that text you don't get the damn medal (if you click on the button above the text you have to click a button another 1000 times to get the medal)
There is an easier way to get that medal than clicking 10k times. if you put the mouse arrow over the button than hold down the tab and enter buttons, it will do it for you, tenfold. I've learned that from reading the reviews and one of them got a medal just by doing that.

I beat it the old fashioned way too, but only by 100 or 200 clicks, I think. Had to answer the phone in the middle of it and everything! ;)
