I need some action songs

Posted by Whirlguy - September 5th, 2008

I've got my new computer for about 4 days now. It's awesome, I have a 22 Inch screen, it makes the flash working space so much easier to work with! Not to mention that it's awesome to play TF2 with a screen this big.

...About that... (:

I've been setting up a playlist with songs that are awesome to play during this game. But I want more songs. I'm looking for actionsongs or badass themes. I don't care wether it's from a game, soundtrack or simply just Newgrounds.

I need songs, and if you happen to read this blog. Please help me out? =D

I picked some songs from these albums:
Freestylers - Raw As F**K
Mad Capsule Markets - Cistm Konfliqt, 4Plugs, 010
Muse - Hullabaloo Disc 1
Pendulum - Hold Your Colour
Queens of the Stoneage - Songs for the Death
Skankfunk - What A Groovy Trick!

Other Songs I used were:
Amon Tobin - Get Your Snacks On
Black Cat OST - Gureigu Yard
Epic High - Day Of Peace, Fly, Paris
Hideki Naganuma - Let Mom Sleep, Teknopatic, Like This Like That
Rig - Yummy Muffin
Rob Zombie - Dragula
Prodigy - First Warning
Prodigy - Voodoo People(Pendulum Remix)
Wu Tang Clan - Kill Bill Theme Song

Finger Eleven - Paralyzed. :D

Not bad.
Not exactly exactly a song that fills me with adrenaline while on a killingspree though:P

Well, if your ever interested in drum and bass, look into dieselboy. My personal favorite is the Human Resource album... not sure if you dig that kind of sound though. I saw pendulol in the list and thought it would be an idea.

Speaking of Pendulol, I fell in love with Through the Loop last year. Check it out, it's a lot of fun. Fun points if you know the movie the sample came from...

Through the loop is from their album Hold Your Color. I never knew where the sample was from but now I did some searching. It's from the original Charlie and the Chocolate factory, isn't it? :P
Haha, I never expected that!

I might like Dieselboy, I heard of him. Don't think I heard any of his music before though.
The only albums I've been able to find are mix cds with loads of other artists but not that much of himself.

LOVE drum&bass btw ;D

Lol Through the Loop kicks ass. I worked out it was Charlie and the Chocolate factory because I've seen it a few times and it's awesome (better than the modern remake >:()
Also, my fav off Hold Your Colour is Sounds of Life. At the moment... either that or Slam. The whole album kicks ass.

Sure does =D
My favourites have to be Plastic World, Girl in the Fire and Hold Your Colour.
Followed closely by all the other songs.

In my opinion you can't compare the new album to the first one. In Silico is an alright album but not as good as Hold Your Colour by far.

No, certainly not, but then again, it's very different. I guess most bands go through that, though. I'm going through a big Daft Punk fandom at the moment, and it's got me thinking, people expect so much from these musicians, even though they're only a small group of people making music for the love of making music. Celebrate the hits, but take the misses as proof that they're human, such is Daft Punk's "Human After All" album. There's also diversity. I went on a CD shopping spree a few days ago. I walked out of the store with some Mozart, some Erik Satie, some Chopin, Tchaikowski and Beethoven. Some Disturbed, some REM, some MGMT, some Incubus and some Chemical Brothers, Evol Intent and some Daft Punk remixes. Oh, and a radiohead boxset. My brother loves the classics of rock and metal, and I love music in its entirity. I'm finding it harder and harder to differentiate between "good" music and "bad" music, but I think if I found my niche, I'd love being a musician in the spotlight, shaping the way music is percieved by all. Isn't it amazing how the actions of just a few people can effect the lives of many?

Daft Punk's songs tend to get tedious. It's strange how Daft Punk keeps swinging inbetween amazing songs and anoying tedious songs. But that's part of Daft Punk's style. I can't really compare Daft Punk with myself:P
I've made songs inspired by Daft Punk though:P

It's good for musicians to go try out new things, and combining Rock with Drum&Bass doesn't sound too bad. But the really disapointing thing about Pendulum's new album to me was that their songs lost energy.

I love how your top 3 bands are exactly the same as mine :3

An awesome coincidence (:
